Data sources and match verification
Prize Map combines tournament records with public broadcast evidence. This page explains what each status means and how a match becomes searchable.
1. Tournament and deck records
Event names, dates, locations, standings, pairings, deck identities, and published decklists are matched against public tournament records, principally Limitless TCG tournament pages and supported Limitless Labs event data. Older records may also use archived official Pokémon event results. A decklist link appears only when the source publishes that player’s list.
2. Broadcast sources
Source videos are public tournament broadcasts or match clips on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. Prize Map records the provider, source identifier, title, URL, duration, and thumbnail when available. The Watch action resolves access and opens the source at the indexed start; Prize Map does not claim ownership of third-party broadcasts.
3. Pairing and timestamp review
Automation narrows long broadcasts using scene changes, visible overlays, player-name recognition, round labels, and known pairings. The generated match-start preview and playback start share one timestamp. The catalog audit rejects invalid timestamps and broken event, broadcast, or player joins.
4. Source statuses
- Verified
- A reviewer confirmed the pairing and indexed segment against the source.
- Candidate / reviewed pairing
- Evidence supports the event and pairing, but the record retains a candidate status. It is labeled as such and is never presented as fully verified.
5. Corrections and updates
Source pages can change, videos can be removed, and names or deck families may need normalization. The index is rebuilt and audited as sources are added. If a page is wrong, use the correction process and include the page URL plus supporting evidence.
